Are all searches fucked at the moment? I type in exactly what I want and it's eighth on the page with all of the entries above it having only one part of what I typed. I type O+S on the HMV site and I get Jordin Sparks - S.O.S. (Let The Music Play) at the top when what I wanted was O+S by O+S. It's fifth on dvd.co.uk with the other four items not containing O+S at all! WTF?

Play.com win here. It's at the top when I search for it on their site. Well done Play.com. They're also the cheapest. Do the other shops not want to sell anything. If you type the exact title of an item and the top four or five search results bear very little resemblence to what you've typed how likely would you be to assume that site didn't have what you wanted and give up? I know I would normally but after the ebay D12 nonsense I've been trying a few tricks.

Searching for D12 on ebay gives you hundreds of D20s and Dungeons and Dragons books but no D12s unless you type "D12" instead of D12 alone. The "" trick doesn't work for O+S. I tried it on the above sites. Same results. Down at number five or eight. I don't know about the rest of you but I consider this to be very fucked up. What do you think?Am I missing something obvious?

Royal Mail
That was far too easy, wasn't it? Here's my email to them.
"Despite having opted out of receiving unaddressed junk mail over 4 months ago I'm still receiving it. Today's junk arrived bearing a 'postmark' that said "Delivered By Royal Mail" and the postman was dressed like one of your postmen. This is getting to be beyond a joke. If this is not resolved promptly I shall be contacting Postwatch and Watchdog."

Also is anyone getting calls from 04074780000 with a prerecorded message congratulating you on . . . fuck knows. I started to hang up when I heard the click of the recorded message so I only heard "Congratulations! You have won . . ."
Edit - This bunch of useless goat-felching wankers are claiming you've won an all expenses paid holiday to Florida and would you please press 9 . . . . I found that out after googling the number last night. I forgot to edit this entry properly before posting it a few minutes ago. Sorry about that.

As of this morning 01942720556 can be added to the nuisance call list.

Now to post to [livejournal.com profile] royalmailsucks

Edit 2 - Petition against the huge hike in ebay fees and the new 'improved' feedback system

C&P'd from [livejournal.com profile] ebaydrama. (The WTF!!! is my addition)
The eBay Feedback system was designed to provide a simple, honest, accurate record of member experiences. Focusing on customer service includes doing everything we can to grow customer confidence in our sellers.
* Buyers will only be able to receive positive Feedback.
WTF!!!
* Positive repeat customer Feedback will count (up to 1 Feedback from the same buyer per week.)
* Feedback more than 12-months old won't count towards your Feedback percentage.
* When a buyer doesn't respond to the Unpaid Item (UPI) process the negative or neutral Feedback they have left for that transaction will be removed.
* When a member is suspended, all their negative and neutral Feedback will be removed.
* Buyers must wait 3 days before leaving negative or neutral Feedback for sellers with an established track record, to encourage communication.
* All Feedback must be left within 60 days (compared to 90 days today) of listing end to encourage timely Feedback and discourage abuse.
* Buyers will be held more accountable when sellers report an unpaid item or commit other policy violations.

The PowerSeller boards are up in arms over a lot of this and I don't blame them.
