It was actually from one of their employees who is on holiday for the next week but just happened to be checking his emails. He said that he could see why I was upset. He appeared to be rather amused at my attempts to contact them. I emailed all the email addresses I could find for them from four of my email accounts. He looked up the information regarding my parcel and found that the driver claimed (his words) to have attempted delivery at 12.55 on the 19th and 15.?? (can't remember) on the 20th. He checked that they had the right address, they did, and asked if my address was hard to find. I told him that the driver found it alright two weeks ago when they collected the hard drive so unless my flat had suddenly shifted to an alternate dimension it should be easy to find. This had him in hysterics. From what he said it sounded like he believed me and not the driver (yay!) He said he'd pass the info (including my mobile number which I'd forgotten to put in the email) to the relevent person even though he was certain they'd get in anyway given the manner in which I'd sent the emails. He started laughing again. He told me that the depot will be open again on Tuesday but that they won't automatically send out my parcel as the think they've attempted to deliver it twice already. I told him that collecting the parcel was out of the question as the depot was according to my friend in "the arse end of nowhere" (that quote went in the email too) and required a car. He liked the quote. He seemed pretty sure that a redelivery would be arranged for next Wednesday.

He comes into my category of 'lovely gentleman.' He really was lovely and not at all patronising and found my jokes funny. I like him. I just hope he's right.

Yay for someone who works in customer service who cares enough!:)

I think the Amtrax depo is out near the airport (or that area), I had to to pick up a parcel from there and it was a pain in the backside!!

:)

It's in Broxburn which really is the "arse end of nowhere."

The "lovely gentleman" wasn't from customer service. I can't remember what he does, franchising perhaps, but he saw my email and decided to do something. For that I'm very grateful.
