Refugee from genocide to be kicked out
princealbert mentioned this case a few days ago. Rene Murabukirwa, who fled Rwanda with his brother when the rest of their family were murdered, is being sent back to Rwanda alone now that the government had deemed it 'safe.' It may be 'safe' for the average Rwandan but what about someone who only just escaped from being murdered. His brother who was in exactly the same situation as him was granted asylum. Why one and not the other no one knows.
I'd just like to know why he's been sent back to a country where his parents and other siblings were murdered when his only remaining relative has been allowed to remain here.
I thought Scotland actually needed immigrants. I know England doesn't but I though we did.
Some of the comments on that article make me sick.
Would talking/writing to my MP or MSP (damn the election) be of any use? Grr, all the people who can answer these questions are currently naked on a hill.
Can anyone explain all of this to me in easy to understand words? Please.
